Do you think you’re going to have a good time at your Christmas party this year? You need to have some Christmas vacation moose glasses if it is really going to be a winner. But if your party is going to be one for the record books, there are some basics that you need to guarantee that your guests are entertained suitably. You should have a few things to eat, but that will only get you going.

Now here is the next question that you need to answer. Do you want your guests to graze on light foods, or do want them to be able to have a traditional experience with a family style meal? If you plan to have your guests over for a meal like this, the best choice would be to have a Christmas ham with some of your favorite traditional trimmings. And don’t forget to have enough for everybody.

For lots of people, having a complicated meal is just not possible or even practical. Having a few nuts or some simple snacks is the best way to go. And in reality, your guests had probably rather have this type of food anyway. Finger foods will make your guests more comfortable and not feel so stuffy.

Here is something that you may not have thought of to have. Have a simple and easy cheese ball. Here is an easy recipe that will have your friends wondering where it came from.

All you need to do is get a eight ounce block of cream cheese and put some pepper jelly on it and serve it withe some toast or crackers. But remember to serve the cream cheese at room temperature or you won’t be able to dip it with a cracker.

Now if you think you need to have something a little more substantial, just have pigs and a blanket. If you have never heard of them before, all you do is get little sausages and canned biscuits. It’s as simple as that. That’s all that you need to get your Christmas party underway.

What are some of the decorations that you use for your home when you are decorating for Christmas? I love bringing out my moose mugs each year. Many things come to mind, but there are a few things that really stand out to me and my family during the holiday season. There are also a few things that you should avoid, like tacky lawn figurines. But in reality, if a gaudy blow up Santa Claus brings you holiday cheer, then by all means break out the extension cords and have a Merry Christmas.

One of my favorite and traditions winter time decorations during this important time of year is twinkling Christmas lights. You are probably familiar with the string type lighting and you probably all sorts of them boxed up and ready to be put up every year, but you may not be aware of the newer LED style lights.

With the advent of this type of LED lighting, they were just too expensive for the average consumer. But now that there are so many companies making them, the average family can now afford to throw away their standard lighting and make the decision to buy some of the new ones.

Here is a decorative flower that you may not think of every year. What about the poinsettia. They can usually be bought at the average retailer or fund raiser around the Christmas season. These are some of my favorite Holiday decorations.

The red ones are the most beautiful to me, but the white variety can make a beautiful accent to your holiday party this year. Try putting them out on the front porch during the day, if you live where it doesn’t get extremely cold during the winter.

Each year I place wreaths on my front door and windows on the front of my house. A Christmas wreath adds a touch of the holidays that can only come from a red bow and pine or holly clippings. I hope you enjoy decorating for Christmas as much as I do, and I hope that you have a Merry Christmas.
