Nuts come in two varieties those that are edible and those that are not. They grow in kernels or shells and are high in fat and protein content. They are available practically everywhere; in the store around the corner, at the stall in the market or one can get nuts online. Their sizes range from small to medium to large and are usually consumed as food.

Different varieties include cashews, almonds, macadamias, pines, peanuts etc. They can be eaten raw, roasted, deep fried, boiled or they can be used for baking.Some are edible, others are not. They are pressed for oil which is used for cooking and for cosmetic use.

They are a treasured source of nutrients and energy. They are high in calories and good fat; that is fat which is low in cholesterol. Research has shown that if eaten sparingly, they can greatly lower the risk of heat disease.

In a one study two sets of people were divided into two groups, group A was given nuts daily, group B was not. Findings revealed that the group that had them everyday was twice as healthy as the those that had none.

They are the best sources of plant protein, photo-nutrients, fiber and anti oxidants like vitamin E and selenium, mono saturated and poly saturated fats (omega 3- good fats)nuts are a healthier substitute for high calorie snacks like chocolate or pies for instance if one is on a diet. Also when one is baking, they are a healthier ingredient than, say, chocolate chips. Some medical practitioners have recommended some varieties like peanuts as an effective aphrodisiac

When one buys nuts online they are most likely to spend less than any other purchasing method because many online sellers offer reduced freight charges and give good price discounts especially if one buys in large sizes. Because of competition the quality and variety is good there is also timely delivery. Nothing more than a week.
